Up North?

Well I don't live quite to TC but an hour south and it's been cold,  but the sun shined today!  We went out on PM Sunday after church and my husband put on a small mouth clinic,  he was the only one to catch any and he spanked em.  All on a white jerk bait (the kind escapes me at the moment) and on a deep diving jerk bait,  gold and black with a little purple around the nose (again the kind escapes me) I must be getting old or something!  Anyway it was cold and windy and it rained on us only once.  It just felt good to be on the water fishing!

 That lakes always been in the back of my head.. anything big?? i always go to Pentwater. yeah the cold temps are what im seeing.. just trying to gauge my thoughts for Burt and Mullet in a month.. We might be Prespawn?? Thanks.

Should be full blown spawn with it being just before the june full moon!!!!They should be all over the beds!!!!What do I know though I live down here!!!

Yes it should full moon blows on Sunday the day after the tourney. but from what i heard the ice came out last week.. which tells me its way behind.but i would assume that things will warm up nicely. there getting on beds nicely around here so shouldnt be too far off. covering every loose end..

Regaurless if it is pre or spawn there should be some huge weights again this year..Those 2 fisheries are awesome..I've been on Mullett a few times, but never have been on Burt but heard some very good things about it!!!

If you were asking me if there was anything big that he caught on PM,  yeah he caught one over 4 and a 5,  the rest were 2 1/2 pounders,  PM is an awsome smallie lake if you know where to go,  but sometimes they just aren't on too.  I love fishing it,  that is where I caught the one in my pic.

Hey Wendy,  I am inpressed  !!!!  I figured you would have bailed on fishing Sunday.  We got upt there about 9am.  We battled the weather in the morning for three hours.  It was RAW  !!!  Cold rainy and windy.  I guess the afternoon was better.  Rained on us some, but not as cold as the morning.  We did pretty well.  Even caught a few smallies.  Lost a BIG northern.

    Hey I'll be coming up again Friday thru Sunday.  Any chance us hooking up to fish??         Jeff

Hey Jeff...not a chance we would bail!!!  Terry needed to get out there it did him alot of good. 

There is a possiblity of it on Sunday,  Saturday we have plans with Mike,  friend from Texas is coming and we have a big cookout planned, hope this rain stops by then.

Give us a call and we can work something out for sunday.  I would hate to have to go and fish HAMLIN!!! LOL  you might have to twist my arm!

    I'd prefer to learn the PM a little better, but if Hamlin is what you want, we can work that out instead.  And no, Shelley won't be along.  Just me on this trip.

Hey Jeff,

Doesn't really matter to me I like em both,  Hamlin just hold a special place in my heart because of growing up there.  Terry has been sick the last two days,  he just tried to go to work this morning and didn't leave til 10.  So hope he feels well by Sunday.  We aren't going to church sunday morning because of the company from Texas leaving at noon,  so call me and we can get it in the plans.
