With the catch and release bass season just a little over a week away, I would like to know what the plan is.  In other words, what is your plan for that opening weekend???

My plan is to try to get to St. Clair.  I noticed that the Lake St. Clair temps on the Mile Roads are the warmest so far at about 46 degrees.  South of Windmill Point the water temp is at 50.6 degrees.  Belle Isle as reported by the NOAA is about 44 degrees.

Although my son has a Saturday Soccer game at 1330 on Saturday April 25, I may hit an inland lake like Long, Pontiac, Tipsico, or Woodland.  For the long day on the 26th of April I am headed to St. Clair.  On Sunday the 26th, if one of my kids don't want to go, I will have an open seat.  PM me and I will let you know toward the end of the week whether or not the seat is still open.  I have to give my kids first shot at being the rider.

So where are you going?!?!?

I haven't thought past opening day yet, but it has been suggested that I go over to Kent Lake next Saturday. I might drag cameraguy along (so he can take pictures of all the fish I catch ;D ) if he doesn't have to work. Guess I better get the boat ready quick!!

We'll have to see about Sunday. Maybe Lake Ovid? Depends on how tired I am from all the fish we catch Saturday :D

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

There should be a few of us out there.  And I believe we are going to Conference Room "H" afterwards.

i will be with Cheetam on Kent.  look for the Ranger with a guy flinging many custome painted crankbaits and a short old guy drop  shotting or throwing some kind of worm.  we will see who tires out first.   weather is looking fine.

Lake St Clair for me....yahoooo!!!!  My boat is getting tuned up and checked out for the season as we speak.....I can hardly wait..

I will be at Hardy too. Best time of year to fish there!

I too am considering Hardy.  Or Croton.  Or both!!

djkimmel

Hey...!?! Hardy would be fun too. But not for the opener. Maybe the next weekend? I can probably hold out for St. Clair until the 16th.

I'm probably going to have to go to my super secret spring hog bass and big crappie lake next Sunday since I can't go tomorrow...  :'( I bet the fish will be wondering where I'm at tomorrow!

Well, looks like I'll be working most of the day Saturday.   >:(  But I hope to get out for a bit in the afternoon.  Probably on Reeds since it's close.  Then Sunday I'll be fishing dawn till dusk somewhere!!

My wife and I just picked up our Champion from Lake Drive on Saturday and if the doctors give me clearance to start walking (or attempting to) again this wk we'll head for Pinckney SP.  Not the same as the bigger ponds but I don't want to risk rougher water with bum legs plus my Dad and brother might meet us from Grand Ledge.

Good luck to all wherever you end up!

I will be working all weekend. >:( Hopefully the overtime will end sometime this summer, I am tired of it.

I am going to try to get out Tuesday after work, provided we only work 10 hrs. I will probably go to Half Moon. It is the closest to my house.

Willie

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
