Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I will be doing one more seminar on bass fishing Houghton Lake for the time of year all you lucky national championship qualifiers are fishing. Based on my years of fishing the early part of the season on Houghton (I owe that experience for my 2nd place in 2005 the first weekend of June in the Top Bass event), NBAA asked if I would provide an overview of the lake and tactics for any interested anglers.

I've held two so far. This one will be the last one I have scheduled - Saturday, March 21st at 11:30 AM on the NBAA stage during the Grand Rapids DeVos Place Ultimate Fishing Show.

I have a slide show including the best map information available on Houghton Lake and will cover the best tactics including the ones I think give you the best shot to be competitive in a large, challenging event like this multi-day, multi-tournament week.

Hope to see you there. And it is open to anyone, not just NBAA members. I had 2 walleye anglers at my seminar in Lansing this past Saturday.

Dan,
I am going to miss the GR show. Can you dump all that in a Power Point Presentation and email it to me.
Thanx!

What's with the news these days on the TV and the radio. Can't find the truth amongst the lies. Some talking head that claims to live their life in a better way, says I have to compromise. But now there's something on the rise. Truth has opened up my eyes. There's no running from your dirty lies. You can't avoid the truth. I'll no longer close my eyes.

I am not an NBAA guy, but me too on the power point....I fish Houghton lake every year or so...I may have some GPS spots to swap with you....
Thx..

Funny you should ask... it is in Powerpoint, but I'm still refining. I do have plans though... a new project for the web site I'm working on... I know, I know. Sometimes I seem to move about the pace of a Canadian glacier.

After the GR show, I'll see what I can do with your requests :)

I'd love to see the powerpoint. I don't make it up to Houghton but maybe one a year.

I figured there'd be interest in putting up more lake-specific fishing information. Involves my future project for the web site. I'll start with Houghton Lake and move on to Burt / Mullett next if I have time.

Thanks,

I won't have it done until after the D&R fishing show next weekend. Sorry. Hang in there.
