Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I've been doing a little research on purchasing a new tube rod.
I will be using a Pflueger president on it w/ braid and a fluorocarbon leader.
I'm thinking that I want a medium action, w/ a fast tip.

I'm wondering about the Kistler rods.  I've been reading up what I can on them, but I don't know anybody who has one.

The big claim is their lightness, and their sensitivity.  Both pluses in my mind.

What about their durability compared to high modulus graphite?
How would they compare with say a BPS Extreme?
Any othe suggestions?

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Fiker, I'll send you a PM and maybe we can meet up and you can take a look at one in person.  I can show you a 7' MH Helium LTA spinning rod that is an absolute killer tube rod.  If you are interested in casting models, I have those as well.

Not bragging.. I have 7 Kistler graphite rods, I started with a drop shot and they just multiplied. No one pays me for equipment, it is my call on what to use, and I use Kistler. Troy at Kistler will build you a custom rod if that is what it takes. I have both spinning and casting rods.. I have not tried the helium or magnesium series, I would venture they are worth the cost..

It ain't bragging if it's true...I only have one Graphite Series rod (Dock Skipping Special) and it is an awesome techinique-specific rod (like the rest of the Graphite Series line).  The remainder of my rods are all LTAs.  When they become available, I will look at adding an Mg or two and possibly an LTX.  Depends on how much "disposable income" I have, and if I can justify picking up new rods to the boss (aka, the wife)...
