Tournament Directors!? If you are thinking of hosting a tournament on Pontiac Lake, you should look to launch from John's Reel Repair.? John is looking for more usage of his ramp or he may be forced to close it.? John will help you as much as he can.

Keep him in mind when fishing Pontiac Lake.

Thanks

We launched out of John's place a couple of years ago. Great guy. He was very friendly and helpful.

Is that a cement ramp?  The only other ramp I saw out there looked like a dirt ramp.

I do not know if it is a cement ramp, however I do know that he has 2 different ramps and they both have worked very well over the years.  My club has been putting on an open at these ramps for many years without problems.

Skulley

There are three ramps on Pontiac.  John is one, the State Park is the second, and a dirt DNR ramp is the third.  John's ramp is a concrete ramp.   ;D

How do you get to John's ramp?  I'd love to give it a try.  What's it cost to launch there?

Off of M-59 take Pontiac lake road north about a mile or so the lake will be on the right (east).  Last year he was charging $5.00 to launch.  Will be calling him on Monday, I will check and post it.

djmaclf

Talked with John on Monday,  he is charging me $7.50 for launching and having weigh-in.  He was not sure what he was going to be charging for individuals launching.  My guess would be between $5.00 - $7.00.
