Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Looks like it is going to warm up and be pretty nice out there! Link to weather: http://tinyurl.com/54cqoz

I stopped out there Saturday evening for a couple hours and they were hitting topwater pretty good, hopefully the action will be good with the slight warm up tomorrow.

Another tough night on Kent.  It took me and Kev every bit of the 3.5 hours to put our 3 fish limit together.  It was cool and windy, but at least it didnt rain.

Here are the results.

1st place Kevin Barrows/Brian McCarter 3 fish 8.71 lbs BB 3.19 lbs $180

2nd place Chris Harrison/Andy Klco 3 fish 7.84 lbs BB 3.22 lbs $60

3rd place Tony Yancey/Toma Mutumbo 3 fish 7.44 lbs BB 2.83

4th place Brian Lang/Mrs. Lang 3 fish 6.26 lbs BB 2.84 lbs

5th place Dan Romano/Carl Romano 1 fish 1.95 lbs

6th place Eric Bond 1 fish 1.90 lbs

7th place Charles Shaw/Mrs Shaw 1 fish 1.27 lbs

8th place Kim Veenstra/Harry Veenstra DNW

BB of tournament Chris Harrison/Andy Klco 3.22 lb Largie $80

It was nice to see more than five boats when i pulled into the park last night.  The weather is starting to get sketchy but the fishing will be fast improving once the fish settle into the cooler water.  Water temps were 58* last night so the jerkbait/crankbait/trap bite should be coming alive very soon.

A lot of patterns produced last night.  One team caught them on spinnerbaits and cranks, one team used topwaters to bag a limit, one team threw jerkbaits to put 3 in the boat, and Kev and I used bottom huggers to barely scratch out our bag.  Lots of different baits producing right now and like I said, it will only get better.  I feel a 3 fish limit exceeding 12 lbs in the very near future.

Come out and join us next tuesday and see what its all about!
