I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

With the weather cooling down, what kind of gloves do you use? I haven't been able to find anything that I like!

judging by the hook in your finger i would suggest Kevlar or Chain Mail gloves.   that photo gives me the willies.

McCarter

I bought a pair from Gander Mt a few years ago.  I cant remember the name but it started with an M and they must specialize in gloves because GM had about 15 different types by this company.  Anyway, they are super thin and fit very tight to your hand but they are extremely warm.  They also have rubber grips in the palm and on the fingers.  They were a bit pricey at $25 but they have proved themselves to be worth every penny.  I wish i would have had them last night for the KLBA tourney.  Fingers were chilly once the sun went down.

I have a pair very similar to what McCarter is describing that I got at Dicks.  They are fairly waterproof, warm, and have the same palm/finger material.  Work pretty well.

I like the under armour cold gear gloves, keeps your hands warm and very thin which gives you more feel.

I use thin polarfleece gloves (fingerless).  The polyester will not absorb water, albeit not waterproof.  If they get wet, and they will, you just take em off, wring them out, shake em dry and put em back on - good as new.  I use them steelheading all winter.  Works great with a disposable handwarmer int he palm - they mold tot he shape of the rod for all day comfort.

I have been using Under Armour gloves also, but the Athletic Football Cold gear gloves and cutting the slits for my fingers in them. I like fleece gloves but when they get wet they stay wet. These are rubber handed and water proved outer layer. They have worked awsome for those colder mournings. Used them to fly fish in Colorado and wouldn't want anythingelse.

Hey, I bought some framers gloves form Home Depot yesterday.  They have the thumb, first and second figures cut off.  I used them this morning and they worked really well.  I paid about $20 for them.  Check them out if you need fall fishing gloves.

You'd be surprised at how much just a pair of cheap latex gloves keep your hands warm. They're tight fitting so you don't really need any fingers cut off. Use once and throw them away.

Cheep latex gloves do work fairly well, and they keep you dry. I looked at football recievers gloves, waterproof golf gloves, and the underarmor gloves at Dick's Sporting Goods last night and I liked the Underarmor the best.

Wolf_fisherman

i justed used the underarmor gloves for football cold weather for a lil early a.m. and night fishing and the work pretty good.

I use a pair of Craftsman work gloves.  I only use them for running up or down the lake.  I don't use gloves when I am fishing.  It is all personal preference.  If it is that cold I am fishing in the hot pond and I only need them from the launch to the pond and back.
