I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

I'll be hitting Kent about 7am if anyone wants to ride along for 4 or 5 hours. I'm thinking of using the west launch because the last two times my trailer was run into over on the east side launch. PM me if interested

We (my club) launched from the westside last sunday..Didn't seem to bad, except that there isn't any parking exclusively for trucks and boat trailers..That made it kind of a mess getting out of there..
Good luck, have fun..Some guys from my club caught some pretty good weights..I didn't do so well.

I think you are talking about the east launch, the west launch has a lot of parking, 50+ spots for trucks and trailers. The west launch itself is really shallow though. There a big rockpiles there that are avoidable, but keep an eye out for them. I have not been happy this year with the Metropark from the terrible parking at the east launch, poor ramps, weed spraying all the time, pontoon driver speeding/driving over your line and fishing spots, and a couple other issues.
I would join you Dan, but I am heading down to try a new lake in the morning.

I was actually talking about the West launch..There is plenty of parking spots they just aren't deep enough and you have to pull way forward to get them out of the lane as Eric stated..The problem came when the park got busy and that made it tight to back the trailer out of the spots because of the cars pulled in behind...All in All it was fine though..
There was a couple of parties going on so the area was packed with people...
