I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Greetings to all www.greatlakesbass.com members!? My name is Blake Arkwood, better known as blakstr1 'rond dese paats..? In this section of the bass forum I will be featuring different adventures I embark on throughout our great state and beyond.? I will be reporting on tournaments I fish and attend as well as any other interesting experiences I encounter on or off the water.?

A little about me..
I grew up in the small northern Michigan town of Onaway, but now hail from Saginaw.? I moved here for work but managed to find a wonderful bride as well.? I am the Public Relations and Conservation Director for Team Bass and I am also on the Pro Staff of both Fish Hedz and Sport Fishing Ventures Unlimited.? My passion as with many of you is bass fishing! I'm your typical obsessive compulsive tackle buyer but I don't really see a problem with that..so FISH ON!!

My goal here is to keep an interesting forum going year round, my fuel is meeting new people and fishing new water!? I'd like to be in the boat with each and every one of you at least once to experience the variety of characters we have here as members...you are all Outstanding!

What's in it for me?
Well outside of the $10K signing bonus DK offered me which I turned down.... ;D....there are a couple things I guess.? First, this helps satisfy a couple of my sponsorship requirements, keeping them updated as to what I'm doing throughout the year.? Second, I've begun to dabble in the world of outdoor writing, partially as a hobbyist and partially as a columnist, I guess third and maybe most importantly, just a way of showing my appreciation to Dan Kimmel and what he has created with www.greatlakesbass.com I truly look forward to posting most every day.? This is the premier bass forum in Michigan and I truly believe it will soon be one of the favorites throughout the country.

So sit back and enjoy any or all of Blake's Excellent Adventures!!?

I'll be looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Did you find a GOOD copy of the lastest BassMasters mag?
Or would you like me to send ya my copy?

already sounds more interesting, informative and gumorous than the back page stories in the magazine!  I'll be looking forward to reading, and hopefully getting out with ya one day - maybe a saginaw bay practice day?

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them

Probably take him a couple hours to type it... and then a couple more to edit it... and then a couple more to rewrite it... then typesetting... then...

I'm sure he'll pop up here any moment (after he has fully recovered anyway)
