I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Sorry I've been too busy to respond.  I'm in for Saturday.  The fishing's been tough on the South Shore, but it's better than a day of work. :)  It looks like winds from the South, so the South Shore should be the easiest place to fish.  I'll be at St. Jean at 6am.  Hopefully we'll see some FLW boats out there.  Should be fun.  Bring the GoreTex!

I can't fish Wednesday most likely.  We're still a long way from finishing the new church renovations, so I'm committed to being there to work.

Something's come up the last minute and I won't be coming down tomorrow. (Sat).

The 16th has changed for me as well.  I have to take my Dad to the Docs on Wednesday.  I'm not expecting this to very good news, so I don't want to plan on leaving him alone afterwards.

Sorry to back out at the last minute.  But, it looks like it will even up the boater/non-boater #'s as well.

If anybody is heading out west and wants to fish one of the inland lakes around Dexter/Pinckney/Brighton give me a ring.  You can ride in my boat.

Also, if anybody is looking for a non-boater to share gas money on Clair during the week, I'm free most of the summer.  Only two restrictions, bad back, and only a Michigan license.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I'm out for the morning as well. If I made it in the morning I could only stay until about 12:00.

I'm out for Saturday on LSC.  Either location is do-able for me on Wednesday...although I'd probably like to fish Lake Orion.  If the weather is good, I might hit LSC with Fiker on Tuesday.  I can be a boater.  Don't have to pair me with Fiker (although we do work well together)...I'm eager to learn from anybody willing to teach.

Look fwd to seeing all on Wednesday.

PS...I can ditto Fiker's request for anybody who wants to fish inland in Southern Oakland, Washtenaw, Livingston and Genesee County Area.  Have boat will travel...short distances.  So far this week is relatively open.

Sorry Joe,

So, as of right now it looks like this for Lake Orion on Wednesday, July 16th. I will also start a new thread for this later.

I guess people will believe me the next time I tell them that there are posssible thunderstorms for Saturday!

Sorry to hear about your dad Rick. Prayers sent your way.

Mark

PS. I did get out yesterday and we hit the deeper water (12-16 fow)between Askins and the Belle River Hump. We caught about 35-40 fish with my best 5 being about 18 pounds. Had one about 5 pounds with many others being 2 3/4 - 3 1/2. Look for the weeds! We also caught about 8-9 perch in the mix between 8-12 inches. Great day on the lake!

We believed ya! ...but it was still fun to get out.  ;D

David and I got out at 6 and around 7, about 10 FLW boats came blasting by with camera boats and spectators.  They all seemed to head North on the US side, but we didn't follow them.  I'll be interested to see the show NEXT MONTH (grr  >:( ) to see where they were fishing.  With the South wind, it looks like most of them chose to avoid Erie.

We had a fun time, but got off the water by about 11.  So we got a good 5 hours of fishing time.  David got one that went 4 and so did I.  We got a few small ones mixed in and a few respectable 2 pounders.

We never got into any severe weather, but heard a few boomers in the distance.  It mostly just rained from about 10am on, some of it heavy.  Once the rain looked like it was gonna be more steady, we called it a morning and went home pretty satisfied with our day.  Too bad no one else could make it.  It looks like the bigger fish are out deeper than 12 FOW like Mark said.  We got our best 2 fish in deeper water.  We ended the day with a BIG ugly that probably went over 5.  I thought I had a monster smallie on.  Fooled me I guess.

I can't make Wednesday, but I hope you all have an awesome evening on the water.  Looks like great weather for the week.

Greetings all...

I still plan to fish Lake Orion on Wednesday...I can be a boater.

I'll need to know time and launch location.  If anybody needs a ride from the NE end of Washtenaw county...or thereabouts, let me know.

Cheers

Wolf_fisherman

Hay guys good news bad news...good first we were out sunday trolling for muskies and caught several smallies a 4lb and a 5lb smallie on a muskie bucktail in front of 9mile on the hump there. Pulled the line out of clip and took drag..wow what a fight for from the smallie even on skie tackle. Now the bad news A 44 inch 30lb skie got hold of my hand while reviving it and in the process managed to rip my thumb from joint to nail and part of hand requiring 7 stitches in thumb and bandaging on hand. As soon as i figure out how to put pics on computer I will post the smallie pics on here. cant fish till weekend when stitches come out. the nurses and doc working on hand didnt believe me until I showed pics of skie that did it. So looks like it wont b till our St Clair River trip in august that i get to fish with you guys again. But if anyone wants to go out on a sat. afternoon or a afternoon during week drop me a line and I will be more than happy to kick some gas money.
