Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Back a few weeks ago Spinninbug aka Wendy Johnson posted here that she would be happy to help anyone find a new vehicle.  I sent Wendy an email outlining what I was looking for and told her to let me know if she had anything.  Within a couple hours she had emailed me back with the description of one she had.  I didn't like that one but we emailed back and forth a little and she emailed me the perfect truck.  A 2004 Yukon, less than 50,000 miles and spotless!  Oh yeah and my favorite color White...matches my boat.  Skip a head a week or so and Wendy and her husband were coming to the GR area for an event and they brought the truck over for me to drive.  Keep in Mind they were going to Holland via GR just to show me the truck.  I drove it and told her I would get back to her.  2 weeks or so go by and I want to drive it again.  This time we decide to meet up on Hardy to do some fishing and a second test drive.  We...everyone but Wendy, caught some fish that afternoon.  My buddy and I take the truck for spin and I tell her I will take it and we can figure out later how I will get my hands on it.  After a week of getting all the paper work done, financing figured out...blah, blah, blah, it is time to get the truck.  I meet Wendy at 9:30 PM up by Hardy Pond on a Friday to make the switch...I traded my 2002 Tahoe in on this one.  She had all the paper work ready I signed on the dotted line and drove away.  Wendy handled the entire thing.  I didn't even need to talk to my insurance agent.  It was the smoothest purchase of anything I have ever done.

If any of you are thinking about buying a new or used vehicle at least take the time to talk to Wendy.  Also keep in mind that Benchley is a GLB sponsor.

That was.... AWESOME!!! Thanks Wendy for doing such a great job! Talk about above and beyond the call...

And thanks Cy for telling us about it!!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Congratulations Cy!
And great job Wendy, I'm so happy for you.
I'm not making this up... buying my Yukon from Wendy was the easiest vehicle purchase I've ever made. I can't say that for Wendy because of how picky I am, but she eventually found my perfect truck for the price I could afford.

I love happy endings.

Thanks Cy and Josh both of you.  I truely do enjoy working for people.

It has been a pleasure to help both of you guys find your perfect trucks (well Cy's wife's truck).

The hardest part was finding the right truck,  it might take a while but I eventually will find the right one.  Driving all over the state was enjoyable too!  Especially meeting at Hardy and fishing for the second test drive.  It was a good test for the truck too,  found out how well it towed a boat.

I believe the best part was just meeting Cy and his family and getting to know him and now I can say I have a new friend too,  that was the bonus.
