Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Well, after the stellar performance at the NBAA Championship this past week on the Ohio River, I consider myself lucky to get out with just a bent up prop.  Many lower ends were donated to the river gods.  With my back up prop a little dinged from Kent lake earlier in the year, I knew I had to get em both fixed.

I happened to be going to southern IN  for work Tuesday, so decided to try Mark Croxton from Bass Boat Central.  Let me tell you, the service is second to none.  I dropped off two props for repai - my three balde hade a 90 degree bent blade, one tweaked backwards almost as much and one cracked over an inch in length.  The other was just touched up.  Both highly polished and new looking props arrived on my doorstep This morning at 11:00.  I have not run them, but they look awesome.  Thats service considering its coming up on a holiday weekend.

Oh yeah - the bent up one was $143 to fix plus freight for a stainless prop - thats great.

I have not run them yet, but will this weekend.  If you need some work done, and fast - give him a call. He can be found on bassboatcentral.com in the props section.

I just had Mark do a blueprint job and add lift to a Tempest.  He was $230 with shipping, which is a great price if the prop works.  It looks good, I hope to get a comparison with the Boger prop this week.  For hundreds of dollars less, it will be interesting to see how it does.

Mark did a prop for me last year, and I was very impressed.  I have sent a few people to him, and they were all very satisfied.  The turn-a-round time is amazing.
