Our buddy Kev had shoulder surgery and is on the mend.  sounds like everything went well but he will be on the sidelines for a while. he will be an expert on TV fishing. good thing is he gave me all his hot spots and waypoints to keep safe.

If you need to get out of the house Kev, feel free to stop by and have a beer or three (should go real well with the pain killers  :D)

Cmon, Its a shoulder, how bad can it hurt?  Quit your whining and lets go fishing!

Just kidding.

Kev, you have always been like 3rd cousin who lives in another state and that i only see when someone gets married or dies to me, and for that i am greatful.  So i want you to know that I am here for you in this, your time of need.  If there is anything you need, do not hesitate to call me.  But dont call me tonite through sunday cuz i will be up north fishing.  And dont call me monday cuz i have to work late.  And tuesday I have to clean the garage.  Wednesday isnt really good either cuz i do pilates on wednesday.  Thrusday and Friday are bad too cuz those are the days i paint the fence and walk the chickens.  Weekends are also out because i will be busy fishing.  Come to think of it, dont call me, i'll call you.

Get better so you can take your little brother fishing.

McCarter himself :-\'

P.S.  I can finally beat you at arm wrestling.

after all the TV fishing i figure you will have Blonde hair with bangs,  Be kissing fish and saying SON a lot.  just no Break Dancing on the front deck...    you can't call Mccarter,  his voicel mail says his phone is broke.  or some fish at Kent is using it.

Here's to a quick and full recovery (you can still type with one hand...)

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Thanks for all of the well wishes guys. 35 years of throwing a baitcaster has finally caught up to this old man. I had a bad bone spur for years that I just dealt with by chewing kodiak and and washing down ibuprfen with red bull. Finally I went to the Doc in November to see what was wrong and bingo a large bone spur. I was told that surgury was inevitable but with a couple well placed cortisone injections I should get by untill October. Well I was lifting a beer one night and my shoulder just dislocated itself and that was the end.

This dislocation went on almost daily for about a week and we did the MRI and found a large tear in the rotator Cuff. So 4 pins lots of staples and a big bottle of Oxy-condone later I am watching fishing on TV and living my fishing dreams through yu guys until at least July.

He promised me that if I do my PT properly I will be ready in time for the FLW river event in July but I will need my boater to take it easy unless I am paried with a guy on the Champion Boats team. His words not mine. He is an avid bass fisherman as well.

Thanks again for the kind words and if you are having shoulder pain while fishing get it fixed as soon as you can to avoid any further damage.

HOLY COW!  How big of beers do you guys drink over there?

On a more serious note, be very careful on the painkillers.  In my non-fishing, so-called professional life, I've seen a lot of people become inadvertantly hooked and quickly destroy their lives.  We can't be havin' that.
