Skulley

Went out to the mile roads today.  Got there about 0630 and started fishing at the 400 Club Apts.  Made several drifts until about 0900.  Caught six there all in the 3lb range.  Moved south to Masonic as the wind picked up and made several drifts and picked up a couple more in the 3lb range.  Moved to the blue wall at about 1030 and fished until 1200.  Caught a few there.  Total fish I caught for the day were 12 in 5 and a half hours as I loaded the boat on the trailer a little after 1200 as I had to get back to go to my sons soccer game at 1500.  That would be about 2 fish an hour.  That is quite a drop from the last two weeks I have been out there.

I attribute this drastic drop in catch rate due to the water temps falling back to the low 50's from where it was last week.  Last week the water temp was 64 degrees.  The cold front moving throught this morning didn't help either.  All the fish were consistantly in the 3lb range.  Through the day the wind and waves did build up.  They started at about 6 inches at 0630 and were at about a foot and a half by 0900.  By 1200 when running back to the launch they were almost 3 footers.
