Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

The Tigers are going to be fine.  They have only played 6 games.  If you are going to judge this team on 6 games, then you are not a true follower of the Tigers.  Just because they are "woe" and 6 doesn't mean they are hopeless.  They play 162 games.  The hitting will come.  They have been hyped so bad by the media that people are thinking they should be 6 and 0 and that is not always the case as we can now see.  The pitching is suspect, but it is a long season and Dombrowski has time to make some moves and improve the pen if Rodney and Zumaya don't recoup well.  Anyway, I am not giving up on them after 6 games.  I may be more critical of them after 60 games or even 90 games.

Thats thinking positive! I knew they were done when Sports
Illustrated picked them to win the World Series. Glad to see that the SI Jinx is alive and well.

I am a true follower of the Tigers, but as I said weeks before the season ever started all of the greatest teams have had a great pitching staff....to include the bullpen..The Tigers pitching (mainly bullpen) is a weakness..If they get hot all will be fine, but I am not so sure the talent is there...I will admit their bats haven't been the greatest lately and the errors don't help...I believe they will come around.

Rentaria has been impressive.  He seems to be on a tear.  Even though they are struggling a little pitching wise, they will be fine.  Dombrowski needs to make a move to shore up that bullpen however I guess Rodney is starting to workout in Florida and Zumaya is in rehab.  It is only a matter of time.  Remember they need to hang around up until the All Star break.  After that they need to be better than a .500 team.............20 or 30 games better.......and just in the second half.

With the exception of Grilli and Minor, the bullpen has done a good job and they'll have Cruceta up shortly. Starting pitching is terrible right now, Verlander's velocity is down and nobody can find the strike zone. Gallaraga was impressive against the Idiots, (I mean Indians, OOOPS!) Starting pitching comes around and we will be rocking! The good news is the they are still only 4.5 games out so there is still hope.

Finally the light shines on Jones for what he is, and even that has yet to be determined, but he is no closer. Rodney is not the answer either but at least they are finally making a change. Tigers would be close to first without the Jones blown saves.

I think I am going to get sick....again...

Thankfully, or maybe mercyfully, the season is about over. Oh, and I CAN wait for next season. Doesn't sound like Dombrowsky or Leyland have plans to do anything to help the pitching staff for next season. Maybe they'll just sprinkle a little fairy dust on it and hope it turns to gold.
