This is a tale of two lakes. Intertwined lakes, in Barry County, Michigan. Where somehow the water has gone away. Upper and Lower Crooked Lakes, both near and dear to me, are suffering from the lowest water levels I've seen in the 35+ years I've been fishing them.

Hey guys, great meeting the other day.  I enjoyed meeting all the new guys.  Looks like it's gonna be another really fun year.  We got a schedule together, but need to get it posted here.  Jack, when you can, can you please post it?  Thanks man.

Yes it was a great meeting.  I do enjoy hooking up with you guys.

Don't quote me, but didn't we do something like:

Kent in April
Cass in May
St. Clair in June

The channels  of Clair in August

Somewhere in there are either Orion or Oakland, and an over nighter on Saginaw.

Jack has the definitive, but this is what I remember.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Sep 20-21 -- Saginaw Bay weekend
Oct 4 - Detroit River

Any suggestions, changes, or Errors - please let me know.

It's nice to see some different lakes than last year. Not gonig to be able to make the meeting this saturday due to prior commitment. Ill try to get on here and keep in touch, spring can't come coon enough!

Glad to see ya back!  You'll have to get your dad to fish with us at least once this year.

We may change May 10, but it's looking like May 3 is an option now for the DK, so we may not need to change it after all.  Keep looking.

MBI is an invitational championship (moostly bragging rights) from local bass clubs in the area.  Each club sends 4 boaters and non-boaters.  Cost is low, and I have heard a good time.

Woo Hoo!  The Vernal Equinox is March 20th.  And I just heard that the nasty weather they were expecting for this weekend is going to stay South of us.  They are calling for a warm up next week too.  That should all help the ice to start breaking up on schedule.  With all this cold weather this year, I was starting to get worried.   ;D

Is anyone interested in that MBI club thingy?

If so, does anybody plan on attending the meeting on the 16th?

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I plan on going on the 16th, and get all the details.  This way we will be signed up for the MBI in September.

For those who have never fished the MBI, I gotta tell ya it is a good time.  Top anglers from all of the local clubs, and nicely run.  Nice to see it back on St. Clair.
