I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Kevin's boys have their birthday punctuated with dad bringing in a 20 lb. bag. Setting second, but certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Live weigh in right now http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/live/index

Excellant video of the weigh in this time. Surprising weights for the weather conditions. Did anyone see Casey Ashley's video at the end of the weigh in. The kid can sing.

I missed it...I tried to do a youtube search and there isn't anything there...

All day long the BASS blog had Iaconelli in first with like 22-23 lbs.  Guess not!!!

Here's the updated leader board:

Casey ashley is tied with Pace. For 5th..Evers is in Seventh.....Since I picked him to win it I have to get evey little bit I can....LOL ;D ;D

I'm watching the recap on ESPN and i just gotta say something here
Is it just me or is it amazing that Ike ever gets a fish in the boat? Seriously - he's hoping around the boat like a goon for 5 minutes with the fish at the side of the boat flopping all over the place!

You'd think as a pro, that is a technique you'd have mastered?.. although i guess that method has worked for him just fine in the past... so who am i to judge! 8)

Looks like Kevin's fish are not showing up for him. So far it doesn't look good. Alton Jones looks like he's found a good school. As of 10:40 am this morning it looks like this.

Alton Jones: 16-8 for 33-13 total
Charlie Hartley: 9-13 for 30-14
Bobby Lane: 3-13 for 28-14
Scott Rook: 6-15 for 27-12
Michael Iaconelli: 8-0 for 26-5

As of 11:15

Alton Jones: 35-5
Charlie Hartley: 30-14
Bobby Lane: 28-14
Scott Rook: 28-4
Aaron Martens: 26-7
Michael Iaconelli: 26-5
Cliff Pace: 23-13
Dave Wolak: 23-8
Edwin Evers: 23-6
Kotaro Kiriyama: 23-5

I been watching the blog closely too and KVD has no fish in the box as of yet. Hopefully he gets on a school before times up.

I wish I was fishing right now too. On that note does anyone know anything about how the fishing has been at turtle creek in Indiana? Me and skeeterman have been talking about heading down there next weekend, has anyone heard any reports that way? Its a warm water discharge lake and the temp usually does not get below the 60s I am told, only 3 hours south from me.
FISH HARD!!!

thedude

Tim - i would guess that the temps are below 60 as cold as its been.. but they almost never get below 50... you can go into the check station and they should have a map of where the warmest water is.

I've heard it can be outstanding down there this time of year... bring your crankbaits. :)

KVD sitting on 1 pound at 12:50, he needs a miracle!!

Dude I was told crankbaits are the deal too. Good advice about the check station, we will have to do that if we make the trip.

Thanks T

12:15 Blog update

Alton Jones is still the man. He's up to 18 pounds for the day and sits atop the leaders with 35-5.

Hartley has a 10-pound limit in second, but more than 4 pounds behind at this point.

Bobby Lane had dropped out of the top five by this point yesterday, but he keeps hanging around. He's upped his total to 15 pounds and is in third with 30-1.

Michael Iaconelli is in fourth with a limit totalling 10 pounds, but that is only if you can trust the estimates. He thought he had 20 plus yesterday and wound up with 18. Hard to misjudge 10 pounds, but I've seen crazier things happen.

Scott Rook is in fifth place. He has a limit at 7-7 for a total two-day weight of 28-4.

The only other notables are:

Aaron Martens reports in with a 13-8 stringer, but he had the Ike-Light estimate yesterday too. He's in sixth place.

Terry Scroggins is finally on the board with two keepers (4-7) and is now sitting in eighth place.

VanDam and Ashley still on the one-fish snide, which is killing my fantasy team. But I'm getting some help from Skeet Reese. He's finally come alive with a 10-8 stringer and is sitting in 14th place.

2:20 report has KVD starting to catch them!

dashaver63

Charlie Hartley in 2nd. It'll be a good one tomorrow.

motocross269

My choice C. Ashley fell hard today...Must have been thinking about his singing career too much...LOL

Dan

KVD is certainly within striking distance only 4 lbs and change out of first. The top six will make it interesting tomorrow. Here's the Day 2 leaderboard.

Have you heard Casey Ashleys "Fisherman" that they have been playing at the Classic weigh in? Here's an excerpt http://www.outdoormusic.com/clip.mp3

He doesn't have to worry about fishing with a voice like that, but he was teary eyed when he didn't make the Day 3 cut today.
"Not in the clamor of the crowded streets nor in the shouts and plaudits of the throng, but within oneself lies victory or defeat."

bassmandan

i think the ones to watch are Jones, VanDam, and Kriet, Jones is consistent, VanDam has big comebacks when he isnt satisfied, and Kriet made a big jump

I'm pullimg for Charlie, being an Ohio man. Not only that but to be able to win the Classic on his first trip would be amazing.
