I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Northern Bass Bum

Hello, Guys!

My names Dane, I'm 15, and been fishing as long as I can remember, but I just started bass fishing last year. I live down by Adrian, MI and love to fish all the local lakes around my house with my 14' Sea Nymph and 5.5 HP Johnson Sea Horse. This past year I have accumulated four new rods (all bass rods), five new reels (all bass), and countless amounts of tackle and a tackle bag. Ever since I caught my first 5+ pound bass in a tourney last Summer, I've been hooked!

Some of you, especially Bender, may know me from Kevin's Bass Fishing Site, www.bassfishin.com/bassfishingforums as lunker-lander.

I'm open to new fishin' partners and anybody who would like to go with or have me along I would be more than happy!

Thank you so much Guys! I'm glad I could find your site, it should help me with all my questions; sounds pretty informative.

I hope to start fishing tournaments this year, but my boat doesn't have a livewell, yet. If there are any tournaments in my area please let me know!

Dane, welcome home. As you meet more people here it will feel more and more like home. Joshimotoson is going to do an open kind of seminal for Kim and I this bass season on this site. Now you ask what is it? He is going to look at the maps and satalite images of the lakes we will be fishing and coach us as to how he would fish it. You can follow and find a lake close to you that looks simiar to ours and try the baits and techniques he instructs us to use. I am also very sure that there will be plenty of outside feedback as to differance of opinions on techniques and styles and baits. It should be fun and educational. I can't wait to here more about your upcoming adventures.

Welcome to the site.  I started out with the same boat, except I had the 9.9 sea horse.  When I fished tournaments I had a cooler with an aerator that I put between the back and middle seats.  I bailed the water in and out with a bucket.  It worked good for me, and it was cheap.  I spent countless hours on that boat not catching fish, but it made me develop my own style/techniques and learn how to find fish.

Hey Dane, you may be in a Sea Nymph today but it won't be long before your upsizing and fishing with the GLB crew!  ;D

Welcome Dane,
There are great people on this site, and will be able to answer just about any question you will have.  There are many tournaments in your area, so good luck this year.
