Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just a shot of the hat my buddy SAVAGE got me while out at the Classic in Pittsburgh last summer.  He not only went around and got one autographed for himself, but got me one too...

Raise a glass...CHEERS...thanks buddy.. ;)

Last time I ever tried the autographed hat deal, I was fairly young and waiting outside the Tigers locker room. Up comes this older lady. She grabs my hat and say, "Hi! I'm Ron LeFlore's Mother!"

And she signs my hat 'Ron LeFlores Mother!!!' I wish I still had that hat. But after that day, I just wasn't into it much anymore.

"Hi! I'm Kevin VanDam's Sister Pam!"

"Hi! I'm Marty Stone's stepbrother Timothy!"

"Hi! I'm Dalton Bobo's Uncle Tater!"

"Hi! I'm Dub LaShot's Grandma Rowena... but you can call me Weenie!"

I just couldn't take myself down that road... I figured it would end with a paw print on my hat from Chigger's dog Bubba Leroy.

Now, if I had a GREAT friend like your buddy SAVAGE who could avoid all the extraneous signatories and get me a hat like THAT!!! My life would probably be a lot different. Thanks for allowing me to live through your good fortune!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
