I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

My 4 year-old managed to get her first keeper bass to the boat today...  I'll confess, I made the cast and handed her the rod when it hit my spinnerbait, but she did all of the work getting it in the boat.

Wasn't huge but she made me proud. ;D  We had a blast on what turned out to be a beautiful fall day.

 Slipkey,

That's a funny looking Walleye! LOL  ;D
That still counts,a picture tells a thousand words and by your 4 year old's face she will remember that forever!Congrats on her 1st one and soon she will be outfishing you! ;) If you have a fishing partner,he better watch out he can be replaced!

That is awesome...My 4 year old has really gotten into fishing this year..I have to upgrade her pole this year.  She caught a couple of nice size bass and walleye this summer and they pretty much destroyed her snoopy rod.
I have a 14 year old daughter also...Right now she has too much going on to go fishing with her old man...Hopefully that changes in a few years.

Awesome picture. My 6 & 7 year old boys are addicted to bass fishing. My 7 year old can fish for 8-10 hours on a slow bite and not get bored. He absolutely lives and breathes it right now. I also have a 15 year old daughter who still tags along occasionally. She lost her interest for a couple years until I discovered something that rehooked her. The spring run of walleyes to Maumee Bay. I am a bass fisherman at heart, but if you want to hook your kids back into it try this hot spring action. She actually had the days until our first trip marke don her calendar. A simple drift and teaching them how to snap a a hair jig is all you need to do. Catching 20-50 2-5 pound 'eyes really put her back into the sport. If you get a decent day next spring launch out of Luna Pier or Bolles Harbor and make the short trip to the bay. Your kids will love it!
