Of course it would only be thrown with 4# Fireline.

You got that right fiker50. Hard not to use something that works so well day in and day out all year long. Siver is the go to, followed by rainbow.

I always keep a couple of Mepps in the box.  Guys I fish with just won't learn.  They're always suprised when I catch a bass on "one of those again?"......

I haven't picked up a Mepps since they stocked trout in the Freeland park pond, we had a blast all summer fishing ultralites. That was probably 20 years ago and we cleaned that whole pond out in 1 summer. Those Mepps should be outlawed!!
