Houghton lake lodging

Can someone point me in the right direction of a resort, cottage or cabin on Houghton Lake my fishing partner and I could rent for the BAM Classic the weekend of September 11th?  We obviously need a place that has parking for our truck and trailer and electric hookup so we can charge the batteries. 

My wife and I just had a bad experience up there with a resort that looked nice on their website but once we got there we refused to stay and got our money back and left, so I'm a little leery on booking anything that is not recommended by someone who has personal knowledge of the place.

Which one was bad?  I have not stayed there in years (decades?) I searched Hotels Prudenville Michigan and a bunch popped up with ratings. Ratings usually give a decent perspective.
