Stoney Creek Metro Park, in shelby Twp. is a great place to catch a variety of fish, in a small area.
Largemouth, pike walleye, perch, Big crappie, gills, carp, and mose impressive channel cats.
This lake requires patience, but can really pay off in the end. Just take the time to learn the build of the structure.
work is work, love is love,FISHING is LIFE!!!

patience  I don't think thats the right word this lake takes more then patience. I will agree with you when you say that it has a lot of fish but the fish in this lake are so smart they don't need to bite. I have spent many and many of days on this lake trying to learn how to fish it. This lake will challenge every thing you no as an angler only fish I have found that you can catch a lot of would be crappie I have caught them on many of dif things out there but as for bass for get it I have caught a few out ther and yes big big big would be the word but days days days would be more like it takes so long to find the fish b/c of the weed choke. I would have to say this is a lake is to hard to put anymore time in. But if your looking for a challenge it's all you .

Never fished it... yet. But I've always heard it holds some BIG largemouths too!

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

I have heard of guys going out to Stony Creek Metropark and fishing along the north shore of the lake.  I have never been there myself, but from what I understand there is a lot of vegetation on that end of the lake.  That is the area that supposedly holds the big bucketmouths.  I guess it is better known for its Walleye and Pike population.

That's because the guys catching all the BIG bucketmouths keep only talking about walleye and pike...
