Abu Garcia Rebates and Tackle Bag

Hey fellas,

    I just bought 4 Abu reels that have a 10 dollar mail in rebate coupon. They also have a free tackle bag offer. On the mail in postcard it says you have to send the reciept and UPC. Problem with that is I want keep my receipts because I purchased other things non Abu. My question to you is, have any of you sent this thing in with a photocopy of the receipt? For that matter have you ever sent a rebate in for any product with just a copy of the receipt? Probably a dumb question but I have never sent a rebate in all of my 30 years!

I wouldn't worry about it, I have never sent the original in for any rebate and have not had a problem yet.

I've never sent a copy in if the rules specifically state original receipt only so I don't have a frame of reference for sending in a copy instead. I just kept a copy. Sounds like fowlmouth has good luck sending copies.
