Well finally going to make my first trip to St Clair for smallies. Coming up tomorrow afternoon and fishing Monday & Tuesday winds look good. If anyone can help me out to get started I'd really appreciate it. I plan on launching at Harley Ensign ramp and will get into Sportsman Direct tomorrow before they close. Hopefully get some stuff there that usually works and maybe they'll steer me in the right direction. I'll give a daily update how we're doing. Thanks everyone Glenn

Sounds great. Enjoy your trip. First place just about everyone goes is the mile roads. Usually lots of action.

Had a great 2 days on St Clair for my first time. Our first day was tough for us just trying to get something figured out but by the end of the day we were confident for Tuesday. Much better day on Tuesday for us we fished the mile roads area. We caught fish on tubes and spybaits mostly with one real nice fish coming on a drop shot. I threw the spybait all morning off and on with no success then switched colors in the afternoon and it was game on with it catching my PB a 5.15#. A lot of water with not much time to dissect it but I'll be back again this fall to try again. Thanks to Sportsman Direct for the help and baits a guy could get in trouble in there LOL

We all get in trouble with a trip to the tackle shop! Glad you caught some and got a big one! I've struggled the last couple trips out there trying to find some numbers.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
