Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Some of you may remember me, some of you won't. Some of you remember the devastation I felt when I lost my boat due to financial reasons. Simply put, I love fishing more than anything. Fishing was the biggest connection I had with my granddaughter Veronica. I know some of you still have bruises on your shoulders. I can't describe to you how I have felt for the last 3 years being boatless. It's really hard to find people to take you out fishing. That all changes on Friday. Thanks to my good friend Ralph at Wonderland Marine West ( a friend because of this website), I will be the VERY HAPPY owner of a 2008 Stratos 176XT. No, it's not a 250hp 22" rocket bassboat, but it will get me out there again. It will be perfect for inland lakes. If I have to, on a calm day, I think I could do the mile roads. Either way, I'll be fishing again. It's newer and nicer than any boat I've ever owned. I can't tell you how happy I am. Now to just find time to fish lol. I'm working 7 days 10 hours right now. I'll do it. I have missed you guys, and missed this site a bunch. I hope some of you have missed me too.  It's just been too hard to come on here and talk about fishing, and not be able to go fishing. I plan on becoming an active member of this site again. I can't tell you the feelings going through me right now. I'm one happy fisherman.

That boat will take you anywhere you want. I've fished Clair and the rivers in one.  You just pick your days.

Ralph also found me the boat of my dreams.  He's a great guy.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

Glad you're able to hang out again and - GET OUT FISHING!!! Very important somehow to do that.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.

Peace.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

That's terrific Mike !!!!  So glad for you.  As you know it doesn't matter if its a rocket boat or not.  It'll do what you need whenever you want !!  :)

Sorry I'm late Mike, but welcome back.  Glad to hear that things are turning around for you.  All the very best to you.  I haven't been on the site for quite a while myself.  Haven't been on the water the last 4 to 5 weeks as well.  Lots of other stuff going on.  Hopefully going to try to get out next week.  See you on the water.
