I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Since it's Bed Fishing time I made a little video to show what's happening under the water when you cast to the bed. I used my favorite bait. The Case Plastics Walleye Worm ( Bass like it to ). I cut the barb and hook point off to show they are not feeding just moving the bait off there nest. I recommend bending the barb down or filing off to reduce stress on the fish. There is no sound just fish having fun. Hope you like it.

Dan Kimmel any idea what the little critters are at the bottom left of the view at the 2 minute mark.  Sculpin maybe??  Kind of look like perch but they stay on the bottom.

djkimmel

I think they wanted to eat it at times!

Can't see the little minnow very well. They look too long and skinny, and not broad enough in the head to be a sculpin. My best guess would be a Northern Logperch.

I shot video for almost 3 hours.  Had one fish grab the worm and got him all the way to the boat before he spit it out.   Probably the most fun I have had fishing In a long time.  Shows you don't have to catch them to have fun.

djkimmel

No you don't (but I do like catching 'em!).

Awesome vid ! It's amazing how much you can see the braid before it gets to your floro leader ! If I'm seeing that right.

The braid was White Fireline.   I used 15 pound Fluorocarbon as the leader thinking it would show up.  Guess that stuff really is invisible under water.  They were not line shy.   It was a fun project.

djkimmel

The explanation is that Fluorocarbon has a very similar light property to water so they show the same, they blend together. I've seen in the past in ultraclear water where the shadow from monofilament was enough to spook bass!
