Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

I will be in Detroit on May 4th for the Tiger game.  It's actually a work thing!  Then I have to be at the Gull Lake Ministries camp in the Kalamazoo area on Friday evening.  Rather than drive all the way back to Hudsonville I'm going straight to Gull Lake.  Sooo.... I have about 6-7 hours to kill Friday morning/early afternoon.

Who wants to take me fishing?  I can help with gas, pick up some pops/chips/snacks/etc...  BUT, I won't have any gear with me (at least I'm not planning on taking any).

Let me know and we can make solid plans.  Weather permitting of course.

That's the day before the DK open.   Hopefully someone will be in town.   I don't want to make that drive 2 days in a row.

So it is!  I can help someone prefish!  LOL!!

Friday's forecast is a little nasty - gust to 38 mph and rain with 40 degree temp.  Good day to work in the shop.

Sadly Saturday is not looking much better.   Get the Flipping Sticks ready.  Could be a canal day.

Chance of rain is down to 20%. That's good. The wind is NNW which might make the Mile Roads not as bad if it is more Westerly. I'm watching it.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
