I seen this on another forum thought it was pretty interesting...

What type of angler are you?

LURE:
1. GENERALIST - an individual that uses a wide variety of lures, know them well, but a master of none
2. SPECIALIST - an individual that uses mainly two or three lures, knowing everything about them and the master of their use.

WATER:
1. GENERALIST - an individual that fishes all depth zones, know them well, but a master of none.
2. SPECIALIST DEEP - an individual that fishes deep water, depths greater than 15-feet, and are a master of fishing the structure, presentations at those depths.
3. SPECIALIST MIDWAY - an individual that fishes midway, depths between 8 & 16 feet, and are master of structure and presentations at those depths.
4. SPECIALIST SHALLOW - an individual that fishes shallow water, depths from 1 to 8-feet, and are a master of the structure, presentations at those depths.

ANGLER:
1. FINESSE - an individual specializing in lighter line, subtle presentations
2. POWER - an individual specializing in flipping & pitching big baits, with big rods
3. RUN & GUN - an individual specializing in fishing fast moving lures while continuous moving from spot to spot, target to target.

I am basically a generalist who runs and guns.. I hate sitting still but if the situations calls for it on certain lakes I can adapt..Any water over 20foot I am horrible.. I love post spawn and crankbaits...

I would have to say IM a generalist . But I can fish it from 2ft all the way down to 40ft. But I think I do my best on deep water bodys. and run and gun I would have to say is me all the way but if the fish are hot I can sit.

I would say that a few years ago, I was definitely a light line/lure, deep water, finesse specialist.  But over the past couple of years, I have improved to be an overall generallist but when it gets tough I always back off the shoreline and go finesse.  That has definitely hurt me in some tournaments but helped in others.

OUTLAW

I would have to say that I am a deep water finesse fisherman. I like to sit on one spot and milk it for everything I can get out of it. I really like to through drop shots with a goby bait in 20 to 30 foot of water on muskegon lake or a small jig. If you can find the wood on muskegon or white you will load the boat. If they won't eat a jig you can use a senko. Senkos are fool Prof they catch fish every were and any time. I also like to use a tube jig with a 1/16oz head in that deep water you will get bit before it hits the bottom.

You wouldnt use an illegal technique on muskegon or white would you?  :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
When you are in any contest you should work as if there whereto the very last minute a chance to loose it.

hey his name is Outlaw for a reason. ;D ;D ;D

Interesting question, but I can't say any of the generalist ones completely apply.

Lure: Generalist (but fish soft plastics more than anything)
Water: Specialist Shallow (but I wouldn't say I'm a "master" of it)
Angler: Run and Gun
