Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Said I'd report on my prize winning FDU raffle ticket. Won six packs of 3x soft baits. Not the top prize, but raffles are somewhat like fishing. Your involvement is more important to you than the final outcome. In a charity raffle, you know that your contribution is important in the larger sense. A prize is just icing. Besides these now become lucky, "secret" baits and bound for future glory :).

2006 Annual Give-Away Fundraiser Results

Congratulations to the following prize winners of the 2006 give-away in support of our non-profit charitable giving foundation, Fishing Dreams Unlimited.

All winners were awarded their appropriate corresponding prize as authenticated and certified by the independent auditor. On January 13th, 2007, we had over 70 people witness the live drawing as the auditor conducted the independent selection process and those present with their redemption certificates were able to certify and claim their prizes. All remaining prize winners were notified and all but one presented their matching, signed, embossed redemption certificate tickets within the stated 10 day period to claim their prize.  With regard to privacy laws, where applicable and specifically approved, we have shown the winners complete name and their corresponding prize.

Thanks to all who participated and to all who supported our fundraising drive, and again, CONGRATULATIONS to the winners!

A special thanks to the Godwin Family who, once again, covered all the administrative and prize costs, allowing the foundation to give out in donations and grants 100% of the proceeds!

Dan

Hey Blake,
Remind us again next year. I'm on a roll. The only other thing I've won was the draft lottery. Won a trip to Ft. Jackson South Carolina. It only cost me six years. Oh yea, I did win 10K on a one dollar scratch off once.
