I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

You can be one of the first to help me break it in on St Clair once I get a few hours under my arse on tamer inland waters.

PS my son got his degree in 4 years instead of the 5 I planned, so daddy got a toy!

It's got 50 hrs on it so it should be broken in. I won't be running to hard until I get her figured out.

Please stay off the BIG water until you are very, very confident on driving and handling BIG water.  Last weekend was a bad one out there.  One boat sank and another hit a log and poked a hole in the bottom that I know of.  That lake is nothing to mess with.   Been driving it for 20 years and it still scares me.  Respect it.

Congrats!  Great choice going with BassCat.  My previous boat was a BassCat PIII and of the 4 I've owned, it was by far the best boat I've ever had.  It's the perfect boat for the big water because it's so solidly made.  And BCB is great about taking care of their people.  Seeing these pics sure makes me miss mine!  Enjoy!

Thanks, Tom.  I was seriously considering buying your last boat you had for sale a few years back.  Stars finally aligned to make this happen.

Steve, I guess I'll be learning on the big water - big river at least.  Seller is meeting me in St Clair city and we will be going out on the river so he can show me the ropes.

I plan on getting some seat time on inland lakes before I head to LSC - but will be hard to resist the temptation.  I'll have to take a few experienced partners that can back me up if I get in too deep :-)

Congras on the boat.  Yes, learn it. The only way to do that is get some seat time.  It's a powerful high performance machine that can get you in trouble !!!  Respect it.   Best of luck !!

Good luck and take your time getting to know it.

Got her out on Cass for my inaugural experience.  Launch went smooth.  Started to idle out and realized the gas gauge was reading empty.  I could of swore it said 1/2 tank when I was sitting in her in the garage the night before!  After beaching and running to get 5 gallons from the local bp, had a could day of learning to use the TM.

Took a couple of tries to get lined up on the trailer and then a few more tweaks to find the right trailer depth to get her to crank on.

Was good to learn at an empty launch!  Beware the rookie.

It won't be long before you're driving that boat right up onto the trailer like a pro.  Once you get her lined up, a good trick is to leave the boat in gear so it keeps it pushed up against the bow roller...it makes it much easier to crank her up and you don't have to get the trailer as deep to do it.  :)  I've done this a zillion times right in front of DNR guys and they do not consider it power loading.  Just drive up gently, give her a small amount of gas just to push her up on the bow roller and leave it in gear.   They won't hassle you about that as long as you don't gun it to push it on the trailer.  I'd recommend though changing that small bow roller that comes with the trailer to the large bowtie style in case you don't line it up center so you don't scratch the front of your boat up.

This is what is on it - isn't this the bowtie style you are referring to?
