Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Anthony or anyone else,

Will the St. Clair tourneys on 6/17 and and 8/18-8/19 be open to Canadian water? Just trying to determine if it's worth it to pick up a Canadian license this year.

Thanks!
Gary

I believe june 16th is the canadian bass opener so yes you definitley will need a canadian license especialy if your a non boater.

Actually canada doesnt open til the 23rd of june, canada changed the law to "the 4th sat. in june" from the current "last sat. in june " because this june there are actually 5 saturdays. So license wise i would say no for the first ABA and a yes for the two dayer.

BassinGT

What is the easiest way to get a Canadian license short of driving over to Canada?

csfishslayer

I don't no were you live But if you live by lakside tackel in st stclair shores you can call them and give them your info and they will go pick it up for you thats were i get mine from. I don't have the # with me or I would give it to you but that Is prob you best bet. I think they will even mail It to you Im not real sure on that but I think my buddy did that last year.

Don't remember what city but I believe marine city on the st. clair river, there is a ferry.  You park your car and board by foot for like $2.  You can buy a license while crossing, I don't think you have to do the customs thing if you don't get off the boat but not sure.  Theres also wallys tackle on sandwich just underneath the bridge in windsor.  You can also order from lakesidefishingshop.com if you have the time.  I wish you could do this online and ohio too for that matter.  Don't forget wapole island has a license too.

I didn't even Think about the ferry thats another easy way. If you get on the boat and don't get of in canada you don't do customs.

Anybody got prices on these lic? I understand you need  Canada and the Wapole is that correct?
Remember you don't quit fishing when you get old, you get old when you quit fishing

MaizeNBlue

yes stack, if you want to fish Wapole, you need a seperate license. You can also get that at Lackside tackle.

dartag

for ABA you will not need a canada lic until the 2 day in Aug.  the May 20 and June 17 event will be Mich waters only, Canada opens on June 23.  i think walpol is the same day as canada.  ABA should be able to confirm this.

Maize is right you can get it over the phone from Lakeside.  they will mail it to ya.  got it there 3 times and don't even know where the place is.

If Canadian waters are legal to fish you will need a Canadian License ... same goes for Wapole.

As the schedule sits now that means you only need them for your 2-day event.

If you need a Canadian fishing license ...Licenses cost $81.05 Canadian, (about $69.80 US) for the seasonal and $58.05 Canadian for an 8-day (49.99 US). If you are tournament fishing don't go with the cheaper conservation license. It only allows you two fish.

Wapole was $40 and I have not heard if it increased.

I get mine every year on the Marine city Ferry it's fast and cheap. Don't ride the Ferry on Friday Nights it's real busy... You can ride the Ferry as late as 10 pm.

Anthony Adams - As your director I believe in promoting the enjoyment of fishing to all. I encourage good sportsmanship and preserving of natural resources. I strongly encourage all individuals regardless of age, race, or gender to be more involved in the world of fishing
