Have not been to the river in 20 years to jig.  Where is the best place to launch mid week.  Used to go to Elizabeth but last time we were there it was really crowded.  Are there launches open upriver.  If i have an open seat I will post here in case anyone wants to ride along.

I launch frequently from Belanger Park in Rouge.   A bit pricey but near where I like to fish.

Wyandotte puts you fairly close to the fishing up by the steel mill and vicinity.
Elizabeth Park is closer to the Trenton channel.  (Where I always lose too many jigs).

I usually fish out of Wyandotte.  There is good water up and down river from there.
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

When do you plan to head out?

Probably try the first week in April.  Looking at the long range forecast it is cold until then.  Going to be a lot of ice in the river.

I've got a trip the Saturday before Easter.  I'll let you know how it goes.
