Hi all,a friend of mind just picked up his Phoenix 618 bass boat{18'6"}.Wow, what a nice package. He went with a Mercury 175 Optimax{maxed out hp} Said he's had it up to 60 mph{fast enough for me}.The layout has definitely been laid out by bass fisherman. Seems every available space has been used for useful storage, and I'm not talking about cup holders. For 18'6"the front deck has the same size as 19'6".Since I'm a rod and reel junky it has two rod lockers and a rod landing on port side. The best thing about this boat for me is it sits on a single axle trailer.I'm tired of trying to get my 20' backed into the garage and putting on the go-jack wheels on,to push it into position on a angle to fit in the garage.I have a 1/2"to 3/4" for the door to close,to much work!Does it sound like I'm sold on this boat, you betcha.
