Beginning Friday, December 15, 2006 at 11:00 PM PDT Omnis Network will deploy a new server to host the MySQL databases supporting hosted web sites. The deployment process will require the copying of the MySQL data files from the old server to the new server. While the files are being copied, access to MySQL will not be allowed. We estimate the deployment process to be complete in less than one hour.

The new server offers a major addition of processing power and employs a faster disk system than the old server. We expect these improvements to relieve the lag currently experienced during times of high MySQL activity.

The forum will not be available during that time. Remember not to try to connect to the forum during that time. The downtime could go longer if they run into difficulties.

Well... there were a few bumps today, but it appears that everyone is working as it should now. Seems faster and smoother too.

You may have had password and login problems earlier today. They should be corrected now. Let me know if anyone is having problems.
