We were down for a while New Year's Eve afternoon

Sorry about the downtime - that's what it was for anyone who tried to get on GreatLakesBass.com this New Year's Eve afternoon. My entire server was down for a time. I had a family wedding to attend to all I could do was turn in a ticket and check if it was back up when I got home.

The only information I had earlier in the day was a network problem at the data center in Provo, Utah. Not sure how long we were down - maybe a couple hours. It affected all of the websites on my server since the server was down, or unreachable - I think I will find tomorrow that it was unreachable, not down. But the end result is the same for anyone trying to get to a website.

There's nothing I can do but pester them about this type of issue, and finding chat not responding, phone support ringing to fast busy and issues turning in a ticket I think plenty of people were already pestering them. Kind of like our giant mess of a power outage in Lansing the past 10 days (almost 9 total days for me).

I wasn't too happy having webserver downtime right after I finally get my power and Internet back at home after almost 9 days out. But it's a long drive to Provo Utah. Hopefully, we are done with downtime for awhile. I couldn't have done too much work today with the family wedding.

If you had problems getting on to the site, that was why. I'd send a message but my entire server was unavailable so no message mechanism there. I did post to Facebook and Twitter. If you have accounts on either of those you can check statuses on there whenever you have problems getting on to the website. There are also websites on the Internet that can tell you if only you, or everyone, is having problems getting to a website. There are so many things involved in connecting you to a website somewhere there are lots of possible reasons why you can't get to one.

Help stop invasive spcies. Don't move fish between unconnected bodies of water. Clean, drain and dry your boat before launching on another water body.
