I am strongly debating on pouring my own jigs. I work long hours during the winter and often don't have any time to ice fish. I thought about taking up jig making as a hobby to pass time over the winter months. Wondering if you guys have any advice for a first time guy. Any do's or don'ts, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of you tube videos showing what to do.  You will need a mold.  If you have a favorite jig head style there will be a mold out there. Most recommend which hook to use.  Get a ladle to heat the lead in.  You can use a propane torch to heat it.  Tire weights work fine.  Stop at.a.tire store and they should give you old ones.  I am using shot gun shot from my old shooting days.  You can order skirts and weed guards online.  Paint or.powder coat the heads.  It will end up: about 1.00 each when you are done.     Best part is when you catch a fish on your  jig.  Shoot me.a.pm.if.you have.any questions
