Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

While working in sporting goods, I get asked about what reels are made in the USA. I believe Ardent is. Are there others that you may know about?

Dan, there are not too many choices.

Ardent, is the only company making freshwater reels (spinning and baitcasting). U.S. Reel is an American company, but the reels are made in China. Avet and Canyon (bigwater reels) are American made. Three of the Penn series (International, Torque, and Baja Special) are American made.

Dan

Thanks Vince. I wasn't aware of too many made in the USA any more and we occasionally get customers who ask that question.

Waterfoul

Just sell them Shimano's and call it good Dan.   ;D
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

mikesmiph

I agree with Waterfoul

fiker

They are work horses.  All but one of my reels are Shimanos.

So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

I love the Shimano's that I have. LOL

All Shimano here, too.

Although, I have used the Pflueger President Spinning Reel (and like it) in Florida for fishing Redfish and Speckled Trout. My nephew has several of these in his Gulf fishing arsenal, and I always grab them when we hit the water.
