I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Special thanks to Skulley and triton22 who helped out in my booth at Outdoorama.

Thanks also to the people who came down to the show and stopped by my booth to say hey!

Well, we are off any running with 1 member already (me!)... the Bassmaster Fantasy Fishing group is "GreatLakesBass.com" and maybe I can even come up with some prizes if someone reminds me later that I said such.

I forgot to pick my teams so far this year. I'm securely in first and last place right now, though I tumble to last as soon as anyone else joins!

Well, partially my fault because I missed this as a new post!! Are you talking Bassmaster, right? I can make a group. Should be able to anyway.

Good morning everyone! Outdoorama 2024 is still happening. There's quite a bit of fishing tackle, rods and reels here! Also lots of boats to look at. Please come on down today, Saturday, February 24 or tomorrow, Sunday February 25 (or BOTH!) and visit. It's better than sitting at home watching reruns of Mama's Family.

I'm right next to Wayne Carpenter and his Fishing Information Service Headquarters / Xtreme Bass Tackle booth. I'm in booth 5767 on a corner. If you look up at the support pillars and see C9 way over close to the West wall in the MUCC aisle, you'll find me. Come tell me your latest fish story.

If you bring a group down, contact me first before you come and maybe I can help out a little. Email me at djkimmel at greatlakesbass DOT com. I'll watch for it just in case. Thanks! And have a good weekend!

Well, I'm pleasantly surprised to hear from a couple of you. Thanks!

Skulley you changed your screen name and threw me a second! I think I actually put your name on a badge already or they just took my list from last year and copied it maybe? Not sure.

triton22, I'll have them make you a badge when I get there tomorrow. It will be at the back of the building inside from the Exhibitor's entrance - the part of the building that sticks out. If you remember that? If not, message me and I'll provide more information. THANKS!

Last year I didn't get out on Lake St. Clair as much as I wanted too.  Darn schedule just played havoc with how the weather played out.  The boat ramp situation this year should make things interesting as well with 9 mile being shut down.  I'm always thinking of going early, but probably will wait a little longer this year for the prime time to hit it.
