Despite the very tough economy and losing a few sponsors because of that, I still have a fair amount of stuff to give away to all of you participants of our 2009 Fall DK Open West coming up this Sunday, September 20 on White Lake.

ALL the sponsors of GreatLakesBass.com make it possible to continue growing and keeping the site as safe and clean as possible. PLEASE always consider that when you are thinking about your purchase decisions. Visit the site sponsors link when you get a chance to review the broad range of choices available from quality companies for insurance, boat cleaning, quality bass tackle, quality fishing rods, boats and motors, service, special fishing tools, fishing line, your next tow vehicle or family car and awesome fishing trips for huge largemouth and peacock bass.

I cannot keep GreatLakesBass.com running as is and growing without these companies displaying ads and offering services on this site. They will only continue to do so if they see some benefit from it. So PLEASE always consider them. I try to work with the best companies and products because you are all my friends.

In particular for this event, I have products available from Flip Clip Fishing, Xtreme Bass Tackle / Combat Fishing, the Great Lakes Bass apparel store and sample baits from Bucketmouth Hand Poured Soft Plastic Baits - Hand Poured Soft Plastic Baits for Bass Fishing - thanks to GreatLakesBass.com member bhorlings. Contact him on here or at brian@brianhorlings.net. I also want to thank Genie and BTI for equipment support for the event since I do not have my own.

Speaking of Wesco donuts,  instead of us donating something to be given away Benchley's is buying donuts from Wesco for breakfast!!   :)

Thanks so much for this generous offer. Considering the very tough situation the auto industry is in, I did not ask for anything extra this time from Benchley outside of the support they already provide to keep GreatLakesBass.com going.

Thanks so much Wendy and to Benchley Buick Pontiac GMC for your generous support. If you are looking for a new or quality used vehicle please remember to give Benchley's a chance!! It's where I bought my Pontiac Vibe 'day job' vehicle and I'm very happy with the entire experience!!! Just contact Wendy spinninbug or use the link to their web site.

In addition to the previously mentioned sponsor and supporters of this latest 2009 Fall DK Open, Don Watts (LGMOUTH) donated a new Wavespin spinning reel to award to the big bass winner (bassfan586). Please see www.wavespinreel.com/ or contact LGMOUTH through the forum for more information on these innovative and award-winning reels.

Also, the West Marine store on 28th St in Grand Rapids donated additional prizes to the event, all given out to members.

Please remember these businesses when you are making your purchase decisions along with all of the sponsor advertisers on GreatLakesBass.com.
