 Dan Kimmel and I met Bill Parker, Editor of Michigan Outdoor News, at the Clinton River Cutoff ramp. Fished ?The Mile Roads? in 8?-14? of water. Did not tear ?em up, but had a decent day. We caught fish on a variety of lures and techniques including Ned Rigs, jerkbaits, dropshots, and tubes.
Weather was one of the better days of the year, warm and calm, maybe a little too calm cuz the bugs were thick. A slight breeze later in the day helped blow those weak little bugs away. Water temp was around 64 degrees.
Our biggest smallie of the day was caught by Bill, weighing in at a little over 4 lbs.

Nice job guys.  Post spawn bite can be tough at times.  You guys did well putting some fish in the boat.  Looks like good time for everyone by the smiles on the faces.
