Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Sorry for the tease... but I really don't have much on this yet but it came up a bunch of times in the past 2 weeks. I'm told by we're about 50/50 on having the 2014 KVD Charity Classic.

The date is on hold. B.A.S.S. is on hold. But... there's lots of questions with the 2014 Detroit Lions as you can surmise with a new coach, and players whose statuses with the team won't be finalized until later this year.

If a commitment can't be reached in time to do all the things this event needs done long before June, it may not happen this year. I'm assured though, plans are in the works to make sure an event happens in 2015 regardless of the specific status of the Detroit Lions.

It's a GREAT event so I'm glad to hear it will go on, and say a BIG thanks to Kevin VanDam for taking the time out of his crazy, busy schedule to do good work for Michigan, bass fishing, charities and just making the world a better place!

I understand the Kevin VanDam Foundation will go live sometime a little later this year so expect more information about this important plus to the outdoor world as the year progresses. He's The Man, and he's not going to waste that by not adding to the good in the world. Thanks KVD!

It is on my to do list for next year.  I think it would be an awesome experience, and for a very worthy cause. I was looking for a date the other day, and I thought it was for Father's Day weekend. I booked a charter for my dad and I with Scott Taylor, so that makes this year a no go.  But I will go in 2015.

So far it has been the 2nd Tuesday (2012) or Monday (2013) of June for the first two events. I'll try to find out and update whatever I can find out when I can.

It is a real fun, real cool event! Try to be there if you can!

No KVD Charity Classic for 2014 but it will be back for 2015 with other Pro Sports Team members bigger and better! I even heard Willie Young wants to be there despite being traded out of our area! He loves to fish. Getting Willie and Z together alone is worth the admission!
