From the author about why the other fields clear when you choose or change categories:
"Not currently the page reloads when you change the category in order for it to display custom fields for the category if they are present.

Suggest if you are changing the category to do that first then do the title."

I don't use custom fields but apparently many customers do so the programmer does not plan on changing this particularly since many people choose a category link first and then upload a picture into a category. I'll just have to have instructions to always pick your category first for now. I may ask if he would move category to the top in his future requests section. Just depends on how many other buyers of the program want it.

I am going to add a new Help post about this feature under General Support in the next few days.

Sometimes if you ask you shall receive. I don't have an option for the category wiping out typing other than to remember to pick or change the category first, but the programmer already had an add-on to put each user's personal gallery link in their profile:

In the middle of your profile summary page (visible only to members signed in)
User Images:    View Gallery
Website:    GreatLakesBass.com
Current Status:    Online

And also when you post, you'll see a 'View Gallery' link under your username on the left below your Posts count.

Just a note, if you see a link it does not guaranty that the user has actually uploaded any picture into their personal gallery (as opposed to the general category galleries), or unfortunately that they are able to. It's just a simple link to the space they would use if they are eligible and have done so.
