Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Just before the October Natural Resources Committee meeting on Thursday, October 9, Commissioner John Walters added an amendment to Fisheries Order 206 – “Bass - Closed bass CIR season from May 1 – Friday before the third Saturday in June for Burt, Mullet, Crooked, Pickerel, and Black Lakes and their connecting waters.”

Im fishing Belleville this Friday night tourney  8pm to 1am with my daughter.. then fishing the Foote pond this Saturday & Sunday.. good luck. I hope you wackem

@ Laporte...Hey was just up there last weekend...didn't get to do any fishing.   PLease post a report when you return.  Be curious to know what works there.  Old Orchard Campground?  Fun place.  Tight lines.

On Tuesday nites we get 24-27 boats, like to be at 25 or more so we can payout more places  ;D

Don said he was fishing from 8pm to 1am. Thats the one I was wondering about. Not the early evening ones on tuesday.

My daughter and I passed on last Friday because of the storms in the area. I ended up on the fire truck most of the night anyway.

     I did get a chance to run by the ramp in between fire calls around the time of the weigh-in (12:45). One of the guys coming off the water said there were 10 boats he thought fishing. But before the weigh-in started.  A women in Sumpter went into labor and need the big red truck at her house... you can say I missed it by that much...lol

Sam and I are going to give it another try this Friday the tourney fishes on Chemung Lake in Brighton.... Ill give a report somtime Saturday
