Problems with Humminbird 787 or 797?

Just wondering if anyone out there other than me has had one of these units displays go bad.  The symptoms are, starting in the corners, the screen goes black until you can't make anything out.  I had to send both mine in to have them repaired.  I will say Humminbird service is as good as it gets, both units back in a week but still paying $200 to get something fixed that I paid $1000 for 2 years ago is a little tough to take.

I have not heard of that before that I recall. That is very odd that BOTH did that. Any suggestions or explanations from Humminbird?

Humminbird did fix both for their fee. Of course they were both out of warranty.  I will say that Humminbird service is exceptional as both units were back in a week, however I wish I didn't have to experience this 2 times.  I just hope my ICE unit doesn't give out.
