Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

Looking at 2 events on Muskegon/White (22+ sack weighed in Sunday so it is worth the drive for all the St. Clair boys) and 2 events on St. Clair/Detroit River - 100% payback of course with a hefty AOY Cash payout.  Is a $150 entry ideal?  Less or more?  This will be something different for most but just like all ROI Outdoors affiliated events every penny paid in gets paid back plus prizes and more cash.  Championship in the middle somewhere and if we get some cohesion among anglers and circuits this should have no problem hitting over 100 boats an event - if the carrots are big enough and the schedule has minimal conflicts this should be big.  Many anglers have their opinions but the bottom line is the 2 best demographics on the 2 best fisheries are Muskegon/White & St. Clair/Det. River/Erie.  Looking for entry fee feedback - want to pay $5000 for 1st every event so that is where the $150 is coming from ($10 Big Bass & $10-$15 going towards Championship), so the question is what entry fee is feasible but also pays enough ($5000 1st Place is benchmark)???????????????????  Constructive comments and suggestions welcome; this is happening so we just need to work out the details now so the advertising can begin by late August of this year.

Guess that depends on whether it is a team event or individual.  For both it sounds feasible, but this is your baby, so run with it.  With a payout like that, guys will fish it no matter what.  Will this be a membership driven tournament series, similar to Lakedrive, or something where guys are going to jackpot it on their side of the state?  Would love to see it run as a membership required tournament trail, give more incentive to join so you know you stand a chance somewhere.

I wanna fish a circuit that pays 5k on the westside.. i will pay 200 as long as your paying back the money..between u guys n lake drive theres no need to fish anything else.. maybe the Bfl should look at the turnouts n c if u pay they will come..

If you make this happen I will fish it for sure. $150-$200 as a team paying back 100%, angler of the year, prizes, split on the east and west will quickly become the biggest circuit in MI. My recammendation would be to force all 4 events be paid for before the season starts so guys dont just jackpot the two events on there side of the state. Good work ROI you guys listen to what the anglers want and get it done!
FISH HARD!!!

gr@ssmonkey

i would not miss an event like this neither ;D ;D count me in,and i'm with tcook,u have to make it so guys would fish it as a trail(pay all the money up front/make a large prize for anglers of the year/take small number of boats to classic) it would be so fun to compete on a trail format again were there's more on the line then just winning 8) and i need a good reason to get back over to lake st. clair!!!!  as my fishing partner would say......make it happen capt'n
