Shaky head baits other than worms

I am relatively new to shaky head fishing.  I am curious if any of you use anything but a worm on the shaky head? I searched for this topic in the forum and saw some threads that addressed this in a roundabout way.  I am specifically curious about craw style baits and beaver style baits?  Anyone use large profile soft plastics on heavier (1/2 oz) shaky heads?

I am very excited to try this technique and wondered what others think of this style of using a shaky head.

Waterfoul

I've been known to toss a craw on a shakey head now and then.  Results vary on the lake of course, but I've caught some fish this way.
Addicted to fishing.  All the time, any species, anywhere!!  Especially in West Michigan!!!

I will sometimes use lizards on a shakey head in the spring around beds.

I've talked to several people that do well with the mini beaver style baits on a football shaky head. They use the BassPro little ones but I got some of the Netbait Mini B Bugs to try.

I moved to Georgia 3 years ago and 80% of the fishermen down here use a shaky head. It catches Big Big fish. My partner & I use mostly 3/16 or 1/4 with finesse or Ultra vibe speed worms, including the magnum Ultra vibe Speed worms as well as Ole' Monster 11.5" worms. The biggest bass down here I have seen caught with one of these is over 11 lbs. I came home to Michigan over memorial day weekend and went to my brothers house. We were fishing off his break wall on a good size public lake that get's pressured. In 45 minutes I flat wore them out with a 1/4 oz shaky head over 20 bass with the biggest at 4 lbs. I was using a worm and my brother was using a idiot rig. I caught bass on 8 consecutive casts.I was using a finesse worm that I would rather not say. I finally rigged him with the same and he was instantly catching bass. He called me 2 days ago and told me he went down the break wall with the same worm from the other day and caught 9 in 30 minutes. He said this was after 4-5 bass boats pounded his break wall for over 2 hours. Usually you fish it slow and shake it but I was slowly swimming it back. I think it is the color of the worm. The lake does have zebra mussels in it so it is really starting to clear up. If you want the color & Brand email me. :)
