I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Got Fish??

My father lives just north of Ford club on the island. He says lots of boats on river next to Edison plant. I'm going good Friday. Has any one been out yet?

markgoetsch

was out twice last week and got two.  The fish are there but its definetly no where near full run.

I"ve gotta believe that the water's still pretty cold.  I would guess high 30's or maybe 40.

I know that there's gotta be a site somewhere where I can look up the river's water temp. but having trouble finding one.

Does anybody know of one?
So much water.  So many lures.  So little time.

last week it was 44 today it was 40 with going 0 for 2.  Only saw one fish caught in two hours cold snap must have shut them down a little.

Got Fish??

Is the river overwhelmed with boats? Should I launch at Elizabeth park or Erie metro park. Hopefully the water temp will be close to 50  by Friday. Not a real fan of the portion of river between free bridge and tip of the island.

markgoetsch

the main river is 39 and down from edison is 43. as for the boats there was about 20 but come the nice weather and the weekend its going to be a mad house i'm sure.

Manxfishing

I was wondering what the water temp was
Thanx,

I find that it's 40 deg that triggers the bite in the spring
For me
I'm skipping the river this weekend and I'll be in the lake trolling
Can't wait to see that first board of this year sink back

Neither, Launch farther north and fish near the steel mill....If my boat were ready, that is where I would be.

I agree with the upriver. The fish are there and the boat traffic is easier to manage. I will be there in the morning.
