I've been there for the past two weekends. The bite is definitely a little off, right now. The winning tournament weights (last weekend) were under 20 lbs. There were a lot of weights in the 18 lb. range. I fished the NBAA Semi-Pro Open this past Saturday, and one team had 21 lbs., but the weights dropped quickly from there to 18, 17, and 15 lbs.

The bite in the channels doesn't seem to be turning on yet. We had just under 16 lbs., with the fish coming from 11' to 12' of water. We concentrated on those areas were we found a mix of rock with sparse weeds. Water clarity along the Mile Roads to 12 ft. in areas. The fish we caught were solidly in the 3 Lb. range. We caught numbers, but couldn't upgrade the size. Occassional forays into deeper water (14' to 16', rock and weed) may yeild some larger fish. It didn't Saturday, but it did last weekend.

I haven't been into Canadian waters, so can't tell you whats happening there.

Good luck Scott, hope this helps.

Thx for the help/info on that, I didn't get there today but will hopefully give it a run tomorrow. A good day would be having the proverbial "freight train" slam a c/b tickin' the weed tops, I kinda like that feeling...
