Move went fine. The new server is much faster. Which is good!

I'm planning on moving to a new server within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Just a little friendly warning as there might be a few hours of odd behavior when the process starts. I will try to have it done at night or weekend.

Yesterday at the Natural Resources Commission meeting in Lansing, science prevailed thanks to many, many persons who took the time to write in, and especially those who showed up to speak before the Commission on Commissioner Walters’ amendment to close bass fishing on the Inland Waterway and Black Lake from May 1 until the third Saturday in June.

We are 2 weeks away from out 3 day trip to St. Clair and we are still kinda fuzzy on some details, wondering if anyone can help me nail down the exacts so we can hopefully make it the smoothest we can.

We will be coming from Lansing and I'm assuming we are gonna launch at Harley Ensign, unless anyone has a better play to launch from that might be easier to get to. From what I can see..we will have to take I94 to metroparkway and then over to S. River drive, hopefully thats correct.

Would this be the best bet to get onto the lake? And should we make the run to the mile roads or stay north and fish Selfridge? Keep in mind we are only fishing in a 18ft with a 120 and I believe my friends father and uncle are gonna come with us and they will be fishing in a 16ft with a 50 horse. I do wanna fish the mile roads after hearing about it, but I dont wanna put them in danger if its too far/dangerous with the boat.

Also looking for lodging atm, which can factor in on our launch site, any suggestions very welcome. I'm not looking to take anyones "secrets" away, just wanna be safe on the water and fish within our limits.

Thank you

Harley ensign is a good choice..Right now they are thick in the Mile roads so Crocker may be a better choice if that pattern holds up for 2 weeks...Crocker is basically the same directions as getting to Harley except that you turn left on Jefferson (at metro) and head south..Or else you can take crocker road right off from the exit...

As far where to go and what is safe it is going to depend on the wind..Start watching the NOAA reports and you can kind of guage off from that...I saw a couple of 12-14 Ft Aluminum boats out Saturday at the mile roads so I would think you guys should be more than fine..

As far as hotels go that is a struggle..Chesterfield has some hotels that are just north of the Selfridge launch (anchor bay)..I am not really up to speed on the hotel accommodation though....

Keep checking in as it gets closer and maybe someone can link up with you and help you out on the water...If I am available I would be more than happy to have you guys follow me around some but this time of year it is really  pretty easy...

There are "No secrets" on LSC in April, May.... ;D
